Nap Time

Maybe it’s drugs his lawyers give him so he’ll appear

Calmer than he is as the times of his trials near
Or maybe staying up all night before each in a tizzy

Is causing his head to nod, or maybe he feels dizzy
Because so much is happened he’s so desperately trying
To control by whining lying threatening and crying.

Maybe he believes he stands so far above the fray

Of courtroom proceedings taking naps in them’s OK

Or maybe it's his way to show he’s bored with all the hurry

To accuse him criminally so why should he worry?

Or maybe under his face makeup and fake hair the man

Has grown too old to stay awake seeking an escape plan.

Maybe it’s time for his cult to start to realize

Pictures of him young and strong pull wool over their eyes

As surely as his false appeals do for each small donation 

They can’t afford to send but do to save MAGA’s White nation

From God-damned evil Democrats he orders them forsake

So he’s not again served defeat stacked high upon his plate.

Maybe it’s time for him to quit but his ego won’t let him

So to his Superman image each day he adds more spin

To ensure none but him alone know he trembles all night

Dreading what tomorrow brings and fearing things aren’t right

Of course he’ll say he is bored so and he’s nodding off to show

Utter contempt for witch hunt trials Dem wokeness make grow.

Maybe a tired sick old man who dementia can’t weather

Is reaching the end of the rope that’s holding him together

And needs much more sleep than his frightened brain’s lately been getting

Since it began so desperately both aiding and abetting 

His frantic efforts to not to be caught in Justice’s trap

Which maybe explains why in courtrooms he’s taking each nap.
