The Great Divide

The “United States of Canada” and “Jesusland”
Are science fiction concepts that now look like they’ll get planned

By Trump so-called Republicans who refuse to concede 

Dear Leader lost and his great landslide was stolen indeed

Reconciliation is something they can’t abide

And so our nation’s union may become a great divide.

Most pooh-pooh the idea that our United States

Could rip itself apart due to falsehood and truth debates

But to be pessimistic as fact gaps grow more each day

It’s not hard to imagine secession is underway

And once one red state breaks away all others will break too

And then what will blue states wanting to stay United do?

The wall writing may be writ soon, the die may soon be cast

That our nation’s final division is approaching fast

And maybe blue states will with Canada decide to merge

Once Trump-worshipping red state cultists from our Union swerve

The name “United States of Canada” should hold up well

While “Jesusland’s” renamed “Trumpland” for the God who’ll there dwell.
