The second day is over and its evidence compelling
But what Republicans do next is easy in foretelling
They’ll continue to look away with feet up on their desk
And when it’s time to vote will fail the humanity test
The monsters they’ve become for Trump they’ll put on full display

When they vote to acquit his ass and let it get away.

Some were already monsters on the first day they arrived 

Like Margy Greene no trace of humanity survived

Or Ghomert, Emperor For Life, and Gaetz who’s beyond hope

Humanity does not survive when packaged in a dope

But others grew into monsters one Trump lie at a time

Before him they perhaps maybe were human at one time.

Rubio, Cotton, Paul, Cruz, Scott, Hawley, and the rest,

Whatever they were no longer passes the human test

While every Democrat was shaken to their very core

By clear video evidence they chose to it ignore

Because they’ve made their minds up that their final votes will be

Defending Trump at the expense of their humanity.

Of course they don’t see it that way, those who can think at all

The dumb just think they’re patriots heeding Trump’s siren call

But it’s the smarter ones who are the real monsters we’ll see

The ones who calculate all they do based on strategy

With cores of raw ambition at their essence their self-call

If it achieves real power will make humans lower fall.
