First they’ll say to reject the trial, then they’ll say ignore
That riot at the Capitol where rotten to the core

Small unkempt bands of bad apples with criminal intent
Shocked, they’ll tell us, shocked our fine 45th President
Who spoke only rhetorically when he said to fight hard
And that alone we must consider, all else disregard.
They’ll next blame Democrats for bringing that small riot on
By planning to steal the election and thus us all con
As our 45th President warned us about for years
Before election rigging reduced Patriots to tears
So throw bad apple criminals and scum Democrats too
Under the bus but to Dear Leader stay steadfast and true.
They’ll then tell fine Republicans to not think about votes
When ignoring phone videos and disregarding quotes
Which all were misinterpreted when first seen on TV
By millions who did not see what they’ll explain they did see
And that is our dear President (the 45th to date)
Did not say any words that do with “incitement” equate.
They’ll finally say impeachment witch hunting’s gone long enough
And on our fine 45th President it’s been too rough
Remember he was shocked they’ll tell us criminals would riot
After he implored them to be peaceful, calm, and quiet
They’ll end what’s an illegal trial ‘ere it’s scarce begun
By betting fine Republicans won’t blame the chosen one.
The writing’s on the wall, the battle lines have been pre-drawn
Today begins the trial that has its outcome foregone
While it lasts Trump’s latest batch of lawyers all agree
The way to win is simply to let Republicans be
So they’ll mount their defense and hope thereby they may get paid
But we already know they know he knows he’s got it made.
