Toad Traits

Sarah Huckabee is back in the news once again
In the state of Arkansas where Trump’s considered friend
She wants to be their governor and so to them she’ll say

Cast your vote for one who lied our friend every day!

And not only did I lie, I was mean and nasty too!

The kind of governor you need to bully your state through!

Of course she probably won’t say such things so publicly

But when you depend on Trump’s backing it’s easy to see

The traits he so admired in the Toads he kept around

Are those same traits he used each day on his constant way down

To ever lower lows, so those traits should sell well when trying

To claim you’re qualified based past track records of lying.

Huckabee is just the first of many we may see

Seeking to hold office based on past Trump Toadery

Which still plays well in deep red states who did not seem to mind

Democracy in Trump’s presidency falling far behind

Authoritarianism he ushered in the door

With Huckabee we start to see Trump Toads seeking encore.

Despite bug deaths and unemployment and all other woes

The Donald left us in his wake his Toads soon, I suppose,

Will come crawling out of their swamp they never wanted drained

And claim to fix things you need strength and in strength they’re well trained!

And even if Trump gets convicted (which is looking iffy)

They’ll welcome his endorsement touting their Toad traits as spiffy.
