Executive Factions

To get anything done these post-Trump days is hard as hell

Because the things dear leader did were not meant to go well

Each was designed for him alone only to benefit

By grabbing headlines and/or adding to his money pit

So now Joe has to try to undo what was done before

And that means many executive actions are in store.

But that’s exactly what dear leader did while he was in

His actions he signed with a scrawl and held up with a grin

Just like a toddler so proud of each crayoned art hit

On the refrigerator he wants mom to display it

Each action that Trump crayoned killed another rule of law

So Biden has to try to stabilize a tipped see-saw. 

Biden’s actions are not held up for mommy to see

And unlike Trump’s they’re trying to tip up democracy

Republicans complain, of course, forgetting what he’s doing

Is the same in reverse of dear leader’s rule of law screwing

The problem is that time’s see-saw can tip both up and down

And after Biden “look mommy” clowns will still be around.

This is no way our laws once worked but it’s now what we’ve got

After dear leader’s executive actions took their shot

At ending once and all forever things all once held dear

By throwing what Americans stood for right out on their ear

So although Joe’s executive actions may not be few

Given the Republicans they’re the best he can do.
