Smoke and Fire

Just because there’s LOTS of “smoke” does NOT mean there’s a “fire”
If you believed the latest polls you’d think I would retire
Before the so-called “fire” behind “ smoke” has consumed ME
But I do NOT see “smoke” at all, the air’s clear as can be
And as for “fire”, NOT one single hot flame do I spy
ALL “fire” about ME’s FAKE NEWS!!, and here’s the reason why:

The only “fire” that counts is the one that I engender
Among MY rabid followers from March through late November
I am NOT “backed into a corner”, NO “poker” I wave
I face MY foes with dignity and honor calm and brave
Any “fire” FAKE NEWS!! claims is poking through FAKE “smoke”
Is so very inconsequential that it is a joke.

I’m going to bed early, rising late, and tweeting less
To prove to MY fine White Base “fire” has NOT joined the mess
Of “smoke” FAKE NEWS!! says now is swirling thickly around ME
I say there is NO “fire”, “smoke”, or problem I can see
There is NO “smoke” or “fire”, ALL KNOW they’re a FAKE NEWS plot
As long as half BELIEVE ME screw the half who think it’s hot.
