I-Word Legacy

ONLY I ALONE can be trusted with honesty
ALL KNOW the FAKE NEWS is as dishonest as “news” can be
And what is more, now by the score FAKE BOOKS are coming out!
To read them you would think I am a dumb, vindictive lout!
They say I’m stupid, vile, crass, childish, and petty!!
A totally dishonest description, obviously!!!

Google’s biased against ME, NBC’s fudging tapes
That were recorded long ago, but that no difference makes
They say that I am saying what I say on tapes they have
That’s NOT MY voice, they made it up, their photoshopping’s BAD
It’s one more thing they say I did that I say I did NOT
Once MY Red Wave consolidates POWER I’ll have them shot.

There is NO “chaos” in MY White House, it’s a smooth machine
By interchanging parts each day it smoothly runs full steam
There is NO “tumult” “emanating” daily from its walls
That is FAKE NEWS!! ALL is peaceful and quiet down MY halls
The second a part starts to squeak I rip its function out
And plug another part in (each runs for a day, about).

ONLY I can be Trusted, ALL OTHERS spew FALSE FACTS
Pernicious LIES, FAKE FALSEHOODS that each day MY TRUTH attacks
ME and MY smooth machine are under siege and hunkered down
MY White House bunker is the last refuge of TRUTH around
FAKE NEWS keeps mounting attacks constantly from every side
But TRUTH will out! MY TRUTH IS TRUTH and WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!

I am the ONLY arbiter of TRUTHFULLNESS, OK?
And I MUST reassert MY version of TRUTH LOUD each day
Because the fearful “I-word” has begun to infiltrate
Within the bunker of MY mind it can been found of late
They think the “I” stands for “Impeachment” but that’s FAKE NEWS too
“Insanity” will be MY “I-word” legacy left you.
