Jeopardy

Elections are in jeopardy so I am “backing down”
Although I’d never admit that to anyone around
I’m signing a “preemptive” order to end “separation”
To dig MYSELF out of the sh*t storm that has swept the nation.

I regret losing all those kids as MY bargaining chips
But things were sounding grim for ME from many million lips
So now I’ll claim I’m taking the “high ground” in this endeavor
To prove AS ALL KNOW MY goal is to keep families together.

My double-down ploy did not work so now I must back-track
To shake millions of angry voters off MY aching back
Of course I’ll still blame Democrats, maybe that still will work
But truth be told I’ve proven I’m the world’s most heartless JERK.
