Dementia’s Insanity

Donald Trump’s falling apart before the very eyes
Of all beholding the meltdown of he who they despise
His energy is low, his speech is slurred, the words he uses
Are incorrect or not the names of friends and foes he chooses
To try to name in vain during speeches sounding dejected
That ramble on for many hours without thoughts connected.

Trump’s recent incoherence has alarmed political

Observers who agree dementia underlies the bull

Shit lies he emphasizes and the word salads they toss

At bewildered rally crowds who find they’re at a loss

To connect the dots between thoughts he pulls from each sleeve

That overlap confusedly despite his so-called “weave”.

Trump’s throes of final meltdown increased after things got hot

For him when Joe let Kamala fill the candidate’s slot

Which made someone much younger than he is the one to dread

For bringing accusations of too old down on his head

And ever since no insult he’s tried sticking on her’s stuck

Which has increased his fear that makes dementia run amuck.

Only one short month remains in the ongoing race

Of tyranny so desperate to democracy replace

And if Trump’s final meltdown does not arrive soon enough

To convince voters his dementia has grown far too rough

For him to Project 2025’s goals logically

Pursue their votes will dementia’s insanity set free.
