If everyone raised their own chickens the high price of eggs
Would in a very short time be lowered by several pegs!
And if they also raised in their back yards a cow or two
Milk prices would return to normal I am telling you
So take up “subsistence farming” as a lifestyle choice
And soon your self-grown grocery costs will cause you to rejoice!
If everyone cut down all trees and bushes in their yard
And plowed their grass plots under growing crops would not be hard
For them to do and so if food prices cause you alarm
Convert the land your house sits on into a ‘working farm’!
Let chickens cows pigs goats ducks sheep and ‘vegetables’ there grow
Once I remove “health safety laws” that say it’s a no-no!
And if you live in a high rise apartment in a city
Although your ‘working farm’ ability might appear shitty
Never fear! Dumb “housing laws” laws with which I’ll do away
Will let you turn your balconies into farm plots the way
They do in China where they grow food almost anywhere
They want to and their so-called “government” seems not to care!
I’d been thinking of paving over the “Rose Garden” to
Make the “White House” I’m stuck in MY Mar-A- Lago 2
But since the price of eggs won’t budge and I’ve been taking heat
For it and other high food costs maybe the way to beat
Criticism’s ‘farming’ to offset MY promise to
Lower food costs on ‘day one’ which completely fell through!
I can’t let dirty farming on germophobia trample!
But I could lie about MY “farming” to set an example
To everybody I’ll order to raise chickens and cows
And grow “vegetables” in places turned under by “plows”
Or “rakes” or “hoes” (Melania!) or whatever they use
I don’t care what tools they use if their complaints I lose!
