It Can’t Happen Here

It simply cannot happen here, there is no legal way
Tyranny can take command and make our land Hell pay
If enough votes can be cast to deny Trump Prez power
Provided fair elections can still be held to empower
The majority to prevail as things once were done
Before claims of robbed elections by fake votes got begun.

It simply cannot happen here, do not worry all

Re-erected guardrails surely by then they’ll install

To keep the next elections from crossing over a line

And holds them back from falling off a cliff again this time

We weren't prepared for Trump before but this time have no fear

Surely those guardrails will before election time appear.

It simply cannot happen here, its odds against are vast

If Trump’s fat ass locked up in jail makes the threat he posed past

Or if returning sanity brings madness to an end

Or if space invaders delay votes while we Earth defend

Of if at long last enough voters have thanks to him got

Fed up enough with bullies to deny them one more shot.
