Here Again

Where we have been before awaits us just around the bend
If against tyranny enough votes can’t our land defend

Because Trump is now focusing his angry cult on Jews
Who history shows will be joined by others he’ll abuse

Maybe with jail cells first but then with nooses knives and guns

In camps built to exterminate all he calls vermin scums.

The here where we have been before will return at great speed

If Trump’s troop of lickspittle toads who in dark corners feed

On webs of lies awaiting their Dear Leader’s call to serve

Him loyally once he’s elected do our nation swerve

Away from past democracy to future tight-bound chains

Of unquestioned obedience to he who holds the reins.

We’ve been here before and that here will be here once again

If our votes can’t stop Trump’s mad cult of frightened macho men

And terrorized handmaidens who say they’re willing to die

Upon receipt his nod/wink to no longer stand by

If he gets in his toads will begin filling railroad cars

With those born Jew and those too who do not bear fascist scars.
