One Thing Alone

Let’s talk about Santos again because the time draws nigh
When his own party may the lying corrupt conman fry
Expulsion by Republicans may very well occur
When they return to Congress to our land again injure
By doing nothing except hitting each other’s belt under
But if they at least expel Santos one thing they won’t blunder.

The embarrassment Santos was for them these past two years

Has reduced Republicans defending him to tears

They really really really wanted to retain his vote

Because their slim majority’s a very shallow moat

Surrounding their ability to dictate what they will

Or would should they do anything to government instill.

But since they haven’t done one thing legislating resembles

Since they got in by vote so slim it’s given them the trembles

They know they won’t win re-election if they cannot show

One thing alone, just one small thing, to let their voters know

Although infighting prevents making legislation come

At least they managed to expel their most obvious scum.

So before their infighting resumes on Capitol Hill

Once they return after Thanksgiving here’s hoping they will

Accomplish one small thing alone for which they could be known

Besides for complete lack of lawmaking to which they're prone

By expelling George Santos one thing alone could be pointed

Out to show their voters they’re not completely disjointed.
