Revolving Doors

Revolving doors were once used as an apt analogy
To mock the parade of those marching in and out daily

Through Trump’s White House where they’d marched in to serve but were no more
Once they’d displeased Dear Leader and got marched back out the door
So rapid was the turnaround revolving doors became

The term used to describe employment turnover insane.

Revolving doors could have been used to describe lawyers who

Have come and gone so rapidly Trump’s legal defense through

For some reason they never were but that does not mean it

Would not describe Trump’s legal team that keeps on getting hit

With change that hires new lawyers to replace old ones leaving

Because they realize their career after Trump would be grieving.

It’s time to let revolving doors around again make swing

To describe the fiasco in the House now happening

As in and out Republicans march speaker nominees

Because not one among them all party factions can please

Or because they do not please Trump who enough still adore

Or are so afraid of they on his command spin the door.

After the Freedom Caucus kicked McCarthy in the balls

Scalise spun in and out again through Congress’ House halls

Followed by Jim Jordan who tried to intimidate

Spouses to gain votes which for him did not work out great

And after they spun Jordan out they Emmer did spin in

But in just a few hours he spun himself out again.

So now another election denier they’ve spun in

Hoping he’s the last to through their revolving doors spin

But any glance or comment he makes or anything done 

By him in the past to piss off Dear Leader Chosen One

Will make them spin the doors again once they hear Trump’s complaint

That as a speaker nominee acceptable he ain’t.

Around Republicans will go in ever spinning dance

Naming nominees none of whom have much of a chance

Of being chosen speaker by vote count majority

Because 217’s a number none will ever see

As long as Freedom Caucus threats keep their kook faction winning

Or perceived slights offending Trump keep revolving doors spinning.
