Nastiness Meets Dignity

White racism is racism, let’s call it what it is
There’s no need to confuse it with obscure QAnon fizz
It’s ugly and it’s vicious and it fits to a clear T
Republicans in general but those most especially
Who ripped into Ketanji with moral compass askew
To score with QAnon voters racist cred they felt due.

For four disgusting days they displayed white racist disdain

For someone black for whom they’d not be fit to clean a drain

They blew QAnon dog whistles loudly on live TV

And by so doing claimed they defended democracy

Which they’ve all worked so actively to in the dustbin dump

Of history to curry favor from the orange grump.

When history is written of this sorry interlude

Provided alt-reality has not truth truly screwed

Pray let it be recorded that a bunch of nasty shits

Failed totally in their attempts to give conniption fits

To a black woman who met nastiness with dignity

And countered white racism with unflappability.
