Living Lost Within

That Trump still thinks he’s President is not too hard to see
You don’t Harvard attendance and an advanced degree
Or have an I.Q. beyond the smart end of the bell curve

You simply have to hear the words to which his pig lips swerve
And then it becomes obvious that the reality
He’s living in is not the one sane people tend to see.

Even though his office sign says ‘Former President’

There’s no doubt he’s convinced his role as Prez did not relent

The big lie he repeats each day in his brain justifies

His self-belief his Presidency did not meet demise

He’s conned his own brain into thinking mass fraud votes alone

Have only temporarily removed him from his throne.

The latest indication that his brain’s stuck in his past

Is that it thinks to Presidential powers he holds fast

And so when he flipped out in rage against the House Committee

Requesting secret riot documents results weren’t pretty

‘Executive Privilege’ he said to save him he’d invoke

Which because he’s no longer President is a sad joke.

Dear Leader’s living lost within his self-deluded brain

Which no Republican’s been brave enough to call insane

And there he will continue to believe his fantasy

That he retains Prez privileges no longer his to see

And so can keep invoking powers not held by a clown

Whose only power is belief past powers hang around.
