Mixed Messages

Even as they drop like flies Republicans can’t seem
To stop mixed vaccine messages splitting their party’s seam
Some half-heartedly finally at ego-sacrifice
Now say that getting vaccinated’s maybe good advice
While others still put vaccines down as things Satan has bred
Ignoring audiences who daily grow greater dead.

The ones who say shots are OK have done the simple math

It takes to realize dropping dead is not a winning path

The ones who say shots are evil government intervention

I say more power too and will not push for their prevention

Because fools get what they deserve and deserve what they get

And anti-vaxxers are the biggest fools to be found yet.

Let’s face it, folks, Republicans won’t get their shit together

As long as loyalty to Trump trumps vaccination’s tether

To health denied to them by some who still send death their way

Despite a few who’ve finally seen vaccines in light of day

Mixed messages pro- and anti-vaxxers send far and near

Are not the clear instructions living cultists need to hear.
