And so across the country anti-protest bills prevail

Republicans say it’s OK to run such people down

Your car and you will be held blameless if those you hit die

Because protesters now by law wave rights to live goodbye.

When protesters march in your town upon your streets you may

Drive straight into them at high speed to scatter them away

And if by chance you crush a few under your auto tire

New GOP bills provide all the defense you’ll require.

The anti-protest bills Republicans want on the books

Expand protections of the sort sought after by mob crooks

The GOP has cut their taxes and packed right-wing courts

And now they’re making it OK to make protests blood sports.

So start your engines, gentlemen, protesting crowds await

Drive straight into them, no carnage you cause will be too great

Republican laws protect you from legal consequence

Kill with a will and drive off free, their bills are your defense.
