The only shots far-right Republicans willingly take

Are those they aim at liberals to end vaccine debate

Their shots unlike those given out to disrupt COVID’s spread

Are not composed of drugs, they’re built of bulletized hot lead.

They say they’d rather go to jail than face bug vaccination

And stand ready to be locked up for non-participation

They feel it’s their God-given right to just say no to drugs

And only trust God’s chosen brand of orange thin-skinned thugs.

Their chosen thug himself’s now said that vaccines are OK

But after all his denials his OK holds no sway

His farthest-right cult members unite in resistance fierce

And his half-hearted endorsement can’t their resistance pierce.

West Virginia’s done better than many a blue state

In vaccinations, but in that state there remains debate

As many say “no way” to getting shot twice in one arm

And prepare to shoot back at shots they’re sure will do them harm.

Out in Ohio some lawmakers also say “No Way!”

They say COVID is bogus and it will melt any day

Trump promised them a miracle that although overdue

They’re still sure he’ll deliver so it’s bound to soon come through.

Ohio lawmakers and West Virginia cults agree

On many things, but staying vaccine-free primarily

In one way or another they’ll resist shots to the end

Which at current resistance rates waits right around the bend.
