Speaking Highly

Just because Trump would have been OK if he’d got hung
And tweeted so to rioters once their breeching’d begun
Apparently did not make Pence feel bad or pissed as hell

To the contrary he considers Dear Leader swell.

Perhaps he hopes he can make bygones bygone as can be

By speaking about one who tried to get him killed highly

If Trump tweets incited a lynch mob why would that stop Mike?

To him kissing Dear Leader’s ass is like like riding a bike.

He’s also launching a political group to defend

Trump’s and his great accomplishments meeting a sorry end

What defense can there be for half a million COVID dead?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Mike’s new group gets said.

Perhaps it’s some weird Christian thing that’s causing Mike to speak

Still highly about one who on his neck a noose did seek

And by launching a group which against Trump will make no fuss

He hopes unlike him things he did won’t end under a bus.

There’s speaking highly and there’s speaking as drug-high as hell

And in the case of Mike Pence it is very hard to tell

If what he says is based on turning both cheeks to attack 

Of if he’s smoking grass, shooting up dope, or high on crack.
