Foregone Aquittal

As his trial approaches Trump’s fine cult members all sneer
Because they know the Senate won’t convict him, never fear

Their alt-reality insists Dear Leader did no wrong

And it was not a coup incited by his siren song

And after he is not convicted they’re sure he’ll be back

To start again in ‘24 undoing Biden’s crap.

They may have to put up with Democrats for two short years

But then to take both House and Senate back they have no fears

They’re sure that Biden’s silly pleas for unity will prove

To be nowhere as exciting as Trump’s dictator groove

And nobody wants boredom when they could be entertained

So two years after they take the Hill he’ll be back again.

There is no other master plan white cult members foresee

Than Donald Trump returning to rule them eternally

Because once he’s regained power he’ll never again lose

Because he’ll outlaw elections that let dumb voters choose

They’re armed and ready to maintain his tyranny through riot

If any question his right to reign and do not keep quiet.

And so the trial tomorrow starts Dear Leader’s return

To tyranny which like him they would welcome and not spurn

No future elections will Dems rig against them and steal

Because the big lie driving them is to them alone real

And in their alternate world they will not have any doubt

That Trump’s foregone acquittal means God’s justice has won out.
