Republican and Democrats have become so divided
No middle ground can be found in a country so two-sided
Democrats are hoping to find ways to all unite
Republicans convince themselves all things Trump did were right
Two very far apart twain who may never meet again
Especially if their hero or devil goes to the pen.
Republicans have done the math and it adds up to Trump
As better to defend than as a flaming dumpster dump
Despite swearing to defend and protect the constitution
From enemies domestic the orange one’s their solution
To the ills of society they perceive all around
No matter what Trump did with him they will still stand their ground.
Once Democrats won by the almost landslide Donald claimed
His attacks on democracy for years left them inflamed
And ready to unite the country for the common good
But now they find Republicans aren’t acting like they should
How can they unite a nation where to even begin
The giant wedge must be removed that Trump has driven in?
The bottom line is we’re all screwed Democratus concludes
Unless some kind of human nature miracle intrudes
And that does not seem likely given things Dems know are facts
Republicans maintain alternatives to through attacks
To achieve all the power their minority can gain
They’ll ignore sucking sounds as the twain spiral towards the drain.
