Deep Cleaning

It cost a half a million to scrape out the scum and slime
That infested the White House throughout Donald’s Trump Train time

And make it again habitable for a normal staff

To work within without fearing making some kind of gaffe

That would enrage the former “President” into rash acts

That added to the scum and slime each day through tweet attacks.

The White House has been deeply cleaned throughout its whole interia

Where competence now replaces loyalty as criteria

Required to work on the staff of the new President

And get things done without fearing you’re going to get bent

By the most worst bent “President” the world may ever see

Unless some future vote seats one more tyrant wannabe.

So here’s to sanitation and the first needed deep cleaning

But lots more scum and slime still in the nation’s heart is breeding

In the halls of the Capitol where Republicans vie

To distinguish themselves by making Biden’s efforts die

And across every city, town, and village everywhere

Where Fine White Cult Members lay low and plot their next affair.

It will take more than sanitation to destroy the germ

Of bent authoritarianism that still does squirm

In hearts filled to the brim with misinforming information

That talk show radio supplies without counter equation

Scrubbing White House walls to remove Trump scum is a start

But deeper cleaning by far’s needed to reach to the heart.
