Distraction and Denial

Distraction and Denial ALWAYS worked for ME before
It’s time to bring them both back out for yet one more encore
The WITCH HUNTERS!!! are closing in, they’re uncovering stuff
That even though I say I’m “very happy” with is rough
MY powers of Distraction and Denial MUST prevail
Or at the rate Mueller is going I’ll end up in jail!

So first I’ll talk about John Kelly, say he’ll be gone soon
And say he’s a Great Guy although we haven’t talked since June
I cannot stand his guts although I won’t let on that way
For our disdain is mutual, from him it runs MY way
But to keep up appearances we’ll part on a “good” term
Until he’s out the door and I with dumb rock tweets him spurn.

I’ll dismiss “revelations” about the damned Russian probe
But I won’t talk about it much or FAKE NEWS will explode
Instead to french fry Macaroon my tweet storm next will swerve
I’ll say his demonstrations are just what french frogs deserve
I’ll also slap familiar foes yet once again around
And maybe praise MY border troops protecting hallowed ground.

If those denials and distractions do not have effect
I’ll ratchet up Tremendously to save MY orange neck
Maybe it’s time to push MY SPACE FORCE STORM TROOPERS again
To stop illegal ALIENS who on us WILL descend
Or I could start a few more Trade Wars, two or three might do
To STOP UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES by Spain or Timbuktu.

I’m sure I can find SOMETHING Distracting that’s bound to work
That with Denial will again Delay that WITCH HUNT!!! jerk
But as Mueller “reveals” more stuff such things get hard to find
He is making MY, like, Genius brane work overtime
Some ultimate Distraction this time I may have to use
Like inviting Vlad to INVADE so his mole he won’t lose.
