Muddy Tactics

The troops I sent South to the border are there for GOOD reason
I’ll have to get back to you about what it was next season
For now they’re living in cold mud without too much to do
So when that caravan shows up they’ll defend ME and you.

And BELIEVE ME that caravan gets closer EVERY day
Although about it lately I’ve NOT had too much to say
In fact I haven’t mentioned it since MY last Rally ended
And Fox has also dropped it as a tale they once defended.

But just because I’ve stopped harping upon it endlessly
And Foxy Friends have also stopped ALL of us still agree
That caravan’s still headed North, albeit at slow pace
MY troops must therefore remain muddy to remain in place.

Because I’m, like, a Genius MY troops I’ve deployed well
They’re “tactically” in position to TERRORIST MOBS quell
The second that that caravan appears upon MY border
MY troops will raise up from the mud to enforce LAW and ORDER.

Meanwhile they are stringing a bit of barbed wire around
And getting two hot meals a day to eat on muddy ground
In cold and wind and weather that’s unseasonably wet
But that’s the way it goes sometimes when you’re a future Vet.

So far MY troops aren’t questioning MY military RIGHT
To deploy them away from families now far from their sight
And sit around in mud and rain because “GO THERE” I say
Thanksgiving’s soon? So What? That CARAVAN is on its way!

Although I really don’t care much about FEAR I once spread
I still need that dumb caravan to give MY mud troops cred
And although they’re all stuck down there as muddy as can be
I’m sure they’re ALL Republicans, so they’ll ALL vote for ME.
