Overated

I can’t believe that judge decreed I cannot pass the buck
He said I am “responsible” and other things that suck
And that I MUST find those parents who I just separated
And re-unite them with their kids! “Love” is SO overrated!!
I’m sure those parent are delighted that their kids are gone
Or if they’re not I’m sure they will be before very long.

It costs big bucks to raise a child, BELIEVE ME I know
You have to feed them and to buy them clothes they soon outgrow
And do NOT get ME started about how much doctors cost
There’s no parent in their right mind who wouldn’t want kids lost
Just like good BUSINESS raising kids should mean profit, NOT losses
That’s why I know those parents welcome separation’s tosses.

That judge says I MUST find the missing parents right away
I’m sure HE had no kids for whom he ever had to pay
He says that I am “responsible” 100%
For finding parent who I know are glad as they can get
Because I separated THEIR “responsibility”
If that judge had had kids at all he would be thanking ME.

I still intend to pass the buck but who I’ll pass it to
Thanks to that so-called “judge” will not be the ACLU
It won’t be long before I find some sucker, BELIEVE ME
To pass it to so I can dodge “responsibility”
Like “love”, “responsibility” is also overrated
That’s obvious to BUSINESSMEN like ME who’ve kids created.
