See? You thought I’d pick the woman! Fooled you, didn’t I!
I made the safe choice after all, and here’s the reason why:
The guy I picked is so “establishment” it makes ME cringe
But getting him in guarantees a multi-decade binge
He is mainstream conservative which means he’ll be confirmed
If I had picked that far right woman “Congress” would have squirmed.
The safe choice means that the Supreme Court will veer farther right
So turning back all “social” issues will not take much fight
The Turtle-Man encouraged ME to make the easy choice
Which makes MY White Base feel OK although they won’t rejoice
It’s true that woman would have gained ME extreme right wing praise
But Turtle-Man said nominating her would start a blaze.
And picking White Republican Men for the highest court
Is a long-standing tradition, I’m told on good report
So I’m packing the Court with someone easy to get in
He will NOT be rejected, I won’t have to start again
I’ll get another chance to with the right wing save some face
That liberal old lady is the next one I’ll replace.
