Pretzel Shapes

My Client did not do it and if he did it’s NOT crime
I’m knotting myself into pretzels working overtime
To claim he did not not do what he did not not do not
He used that “not” approach on Russia so it’s worth a shot
After each not I’ve knotted to prove collusion’s NOT crime
It’s hard to get untangled to get ready for next time.

I have become a sad clown shaped in pretzels very small
Fox News gets flabbergasted now when I return their call
To try to explain once again my Client’s innocence
For which I hope he someday pays me salary plus expense
It costs a lot to untangle each pretzel shape I take
Once I get tangled up undoing my latest mistake.

So far my Client has praised me for being his best liar
Maybe if I keep lying well he won’t make me retire
I used to be famous in New York City long ago
Now I’m reduced to acting in his sad clown pretzel show
I still lie quite creatively but I’m getting too old
To knot myself in pretzel shapes for each new lie I’ve told.
