Assessments

Of course I accept assessments “Intelligence” assesses
Until I say their so-called assessments are total messes
I change MY mind so often about assessments I get
That those assessing MY assessments are filled with regret
I say I don’t accept assessments, then say that I do
Until I say that I do not until I say they’re true.

“Intelligence Community” members pull out their hair
But rejecting their so-called assessments I think is fair
Because right after I reject assessments I am given
I turn around and thank them for analysis they’ve driven
Until MY Russian friends and I reject it once again
Unless pushback gets too strong and rejection I amend.

To fix MY Great meeting with Vlad some say got out of hand
Amending things I now say I missaid is MY Great plan
So now I say I did NOT say I “see no reason why
Russia would meddle” what I say I said is they DID try
It was a “double negative” that MY words did mislay
Not “would meddle” but “wouldn’t meddle” I had meant to say.

And AS ALL KNOW I’ve ALWAYS said our Great “Intelligence”
I do believe (unless I don’t or say I’m on the fence)
Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, I’m told
And in MY, like, Genius mind consistency can’t hold
So all “Intelligence assessments” about meddling
I accept until MY mind begins backpedaling.
