Taking A Short Break

I’m exhausted by him, and you are exhausted too
As is everyone in every state that voted blue
And every voter in red states who has a brain that thinks
Enough to know he’s a corrupt schmo each of whose lies stinks
And all watching from foreign nations his lies too will screw
Are totally exhausted by the total A-Hole too.

Totally exhausted is the way all people feel

Who know they face a future based on fantasies unreal

About illegal immigrants invading hearth and home

And pets of people who live there eaten down to the bone

And an economy that's a disastrous disgrace

And fixing every problem that besets the human race.

Because we’re all exhausted resistance has fizzled out

Thus giving evil people way too much self-assured clout

Who like A-Hole think they will dominate headlines for years

Because complicit media’s grown rich reporting fears

That li-based unreal fantasies generate day and night

To keep convincing fools only a-holes can fix things right.

But even though exhaustion has exhausted everyone

Who are so sick and tired of the daily dose of scum

The A-Hole and his MAGA cronies have begun imposing

With every clown car cabinet pick the dick’s been proposing

Let’s not give up the ship of state to exhaustion and fret

Because claims only they can fix things will bite their ass yet.

Inflation that increases due to dumb misunderstanding

About how tariffs work will become much harder to through scamming

Claim high food costs are getting fixed and their lows will get great

As soon as one more tax cut’s heaped on the one percent’s plate

And decimating farm workforces also won’t assist

In lowering food costs he’ll claim will very soon be fixed.

And climate change will continue despite A-Hole’s denial

That it exists and his “drill baby drill” approach will rile

Mother Nature so like food costs temperatures will rise

Despite smog-filled pollution spread across soot-darkened skies

Like so many dumb policies the mass drilling he’ll endorse

Will make mass fools who voted for him feel buyer’s remorse.

So let’s take a short break because his foes all need recharging

And once exhaustion passes return to en masse enlarging

Mass protests against policies on which he will depend

To force frightened fools to before him on shaking knees bend

Because although fear’s worked historically it’s not worked long

Before tyrants got toppled by protest’s well-rested throng.
