There is no way America as was will still survive

After four more years (minimum) of Trump’s dictator jive

There’s no way half the population comes undamaged through
Grim years ahead the other half’s votes will let him pursue

But also there’s no way what’s left after the wannabe

Dictator’s done dictating can either half clearly see.

Democrats are all convinced democracy will die

Which is a pretty sure bet given how God’s chosen guy

Will have at least four years to do the things he’s promised to

Assuming enough brain remains his entire term through

And even if total senility before then’s due

They’ll prop him up while Project ‘25 they still pursue.

Republicans are dancing jigs and drinking mugs of beer

They can’t imagine anything that’s coming they won’t cheer

But things may swing around to bite them in their happy asses

If tariff’s don’t work like Trump thinks and inflation surpasses

The level it was before foreigners aren’t those who pay

For price increases his tariffs send his voters their way.

And who knows how abortion goes given all states that chose

To say no to no right to choose their state’s current laws close?

On one hand Trump’s evangelical mob expects him to

Pass a national law that lets women’s deaths ensue

And if he does how long before women do not agree

That sepsis death and stillborn babies are their destiny?

And will Russia and China like the half they disinform

Remain a glad as they are now or find themselves forlorn

Because their puppet they’ve propelled back to the White House may

Impulsively let vengeful hands with his nuke button play

And even if nukes he deploys weren’t meant to be their fate

They like all countries will find fallout won’t discriminate.

What’s coming after Trump begins to MAGA goals pursue

Will be things of which neither half have any honest clue

There’s indications of how Trump plans to revive past messes

But impacts of those messes from both sides remain best guesses

And whether based on science expertise or faith belief

Best guesses they’ll remain until impacts show long term teeth.
