Half Gives Hope

This morning at a seaside breakfast the web alert came
That Biden had dropped out of the race, thus a brand new game
Dawned bright for frightened Democrats who saw another chance
To win after hope had grown thin with that shot ear scratch glance
That doctors have yet to attribute to a bullet so

If Trump really survived a head shot we may never know.

This morning over Kona coffee the news did arrive

That Dem chances to win again were once again alive

None as yet know who Dems against Trump and Vance will now choose

But chances are way better for whoever they won’t lose

And if Harris and Whitmer run as one team just imagine

How two misogynists would feel if girls gave them a bashin’!

Astrologers in India predicted long ago

That Trump and Biden would both in the Prez race be no-show

Now half of their prediction has as of today occurred

So now it’s only half as much as before thought absurd

We’ll have to wait to see if both halves those guys saw come true

But half gives hope the more remote could also come through too.
