The first poll says Biden’s forged ahead of Trump more each day
The second says the contest’s too close to call either way
The third projects Trump wins by more than his fat pig-faced nose
The fourth says that the winner’s much too early to disclose
Thus to and fro the polls will go without consensus reached
Until November’s vote count shows which ones correctly preached.

Since Nate Silver predicted Hillary was a shoe-in

Confidence in any poll’s grown exceedingly thin

Especially since every poll that claims neutrality

Is motivated by someone’s agenda probably

How else explain findings that range so widely in opinions

From ‘neutral’ polls commissioned by opposed candidate’s minions?

Don’t cherry-pick the polls if you’re expecting cherry pie

The tasty treat you’re hoping to eat they will not supply

The mishmash of ingredients they are paid to combine

Won’t bake into the tasty results you’re hoping to find

Once the polls have cooked the facts you’ll instead likely see

Support for your side or the side with which you don’t agree.
