That the wheels of justice grind slowly Trump is counting on
He through delay hopes to stretch out trial dates for so long
His next election’s come and gone and he reigns back on top
Before verdicts can be delivered that force him to stop.

Turning court appearances into reality
Show spectacle is his stay out of prison strategy

But it apparently also includes brief stays in jail

Because he’s sure jail will increase his vote without fail.

And so what judges say to do from benches where they sit

He blatantly on TV does the exact opposite

Which seems a stupid thing to do to all except his base

Who love it when he tells judges to get out of his face.

Trump’s strategy is turning outrage and publicity

Up to maximum to scam his base financially

As the latest aspect of his ongoing con game 

He’s pulled on his cult suckers since down golden stairs he came.

As marketing tools go Trump knows calling the judge a bum

Keeps small donations flowing from fools to the Chosen One

And if he keeps defying court orders and lands in jail

An increase in both cash and votes he’s certain will prevail.

Trump’s trial within a trial now coming to a head

May soon find him lying upon a cold hard prison bed

But even as he’s drag away strategy will prevail

At least until his phone’s removed and he’s shut up in jail.
