Is choosing Jordan speaker which he may be by the time
Tomorrow’s poem gets written for the mob tactics defined 
In yesterday’s apparently to House members inclined
To cave to threats of violence to arm sockets and both knees
Appear to have pressured enough to vote for the sick sleaze.

If Jordan wins all moral principle still hanging on

Somehow within the GOP will give up and be gone

Forever as the party descends to its deepest depths

Of rock bottom where Jordan leads their goose-steps as he schleps

Whatever Trump commands him to make them towards be bent

After his 16 Congress years without accomplishment.

GOP transformation Trump began will run full course

If mobster tactics force the party to Jordan endorse

Which if Liz Cheney’s right will gain them just what they deserve

So maybe there’s a silver lining to tyranny’s swerve

But more likely the harbinger of what lurks ‘round the bend

Is electing Trump’s choice to usher in government’s end.
