Good Luck With That

The only way Republicans now plan to get elected

Is to pursue transphobia as sole issue projected

Because not one thing have they done since getting to DC

Except stoking trans fears and preaching gender purity

In hopes their single anti-trans issue proves it’s enough

To win a seat or back into one once again re-stuff.

Forget about good governing that helps constituents 
Forget about addressing issues to voters convince
Forget about proposing bills that those issues address
Forget about accomplishments that would voters impress
Forget about why they were sent to Washington DC
Transphobia they’ll now depend on to elected be!

Republican ships steaming straight towards an iceberg bed

Carry elected passengers screaming Full Speed Ahead!

Convinced they’ll wiggle through the ice pack towards which they steer

Depending on transphobia to bring election cheer

But older voters they depend on to with trans hate sway

Are more likely than Gens X Y Z to first pass away.

So since the single issue they’ve endorsed’s trans hate extreme

And not one bill have they proposed since they came on the scene

And all they’ve brought home to their voters is trans hate pursued

To depend on shared trans hate to get their Hill seats renewed

They know they’ll have to suppress votes from Gens X Y and Z

Because none young give a damn about gender purity.
