When it comes to infighting Republicans are tops
They all hate one another and they pull out all the stops
To make each other out to be as bad as bad can be
Which is why on someone as speaker they cannot agree
But because throwing punches does not look good on the tube
Sarcasm and insults is how they disfunction extrude.
 

Their infighting over the speaker’s race has now devolved

Into a slew of letters filled with sarcasm resolved

To put down fellow members sitting on the side they sit

Because Dems on the opposite won’t help them out one bit

And so selecting speakers leaves them stranded high and dry

Trading insults while devolving on their way to die.

Republican infighting will define exactly how

History remembers their side many years from now

Long after it has been replaced by whatever comes next

To get governing back on track by changing the context

That says despite devolution Republicans won’t go

Because someday they will be gone (like Whigs and melted snow).
