Standing Pat

When your son is an idiot with less brains than pond scum
And your somewhat smarter daughter over you busses run
And all staff members still loyal are toady sycophants
Who even when they’re wearing them can’t with hands find their hats
And your cult in decreasing numbers at rallies comes around
Instead of learning from experience you double down.

When brilliant lawyers keep running rings ‘round your shyster crew

Who have lost every lawsuit you demand for you they spew

And legal experts say they’re stunned by just how very far

You’ve stuck your foot into your mouth by being what you are

Which is a self-centered malignant narcissistic brat

Convinced he’s right on everything and therefore standing pat.

You’ll never change, you simply can’t, nothing exists in you

Except blind greed protecting a weak ego always blue

Because although you pretend you’re greatest ever met

Deep down within you know as loser you’re big as they get

But although all things branded with your name have turned to shit

Your ego keeps you doubled down, you can’t relent one bit.

So you’ll keep raging against what fate has in store for you

And shock lawyers with what you and your son says that you screw

And demand that your shysters file ever more lawsuits

As distractions from things in which you’re deeply in cahoots

Like operational control of your failed coup attempt

And ongoing criminal conspiratorial intent.

As long as most Republicans find they cannot quit you

Because they’re cowards too afraid to say with you they’re through

And keep kissing your orange ass in hopes you’ll them endorse

To double down after each setback will remain your course

A course that you’re incapable of altering one bit

Because your fearful ego can’t accept things turned to shit.
