Need Not Apply

When it comes to black people Republicans agree
The only ones not worthless step and fetch it humbly
With “Yessuh Mastah!!!, Yessah Missy!!!” to each white demand
No matter what white betters order they stand hat in hand
Ready to jump in response to whatever they’re told
And woe be unto blacks who criticize complain or scold.

All blacks who are not toady Uncle Toms need not apply

To do any job God never intended them to try

And that applies especially to jobs in government 

Or even worse in law where they could get Jim Crow laws bent

To favor those who weren’t born white with silver spoon inserted

Of if without spoons although poor white privilege has asserted.

Clarence Thomas is a prime example they’ll tell you

Of what God-fearing whites expect good black toadies to do

If blacks do have to be be seated upon the Supreme Court

At least rubber stamp toads like Thomas white laws won’t distort

But Ketanji Brown Jackson’s an uppity black woman who

Unlike Uncle Tom Thomas won’t for white privilege come through.

And so Republicans concoct a vile untrue reason

For saying NO to Brown Jackson but do not mention treason

Treason is one accusation they won’t at her fling

Because to do so reminds people treason is their thing

And so they invent kid sex slavery as their excuse

For stopping Brown Jackson from on the High Court cutting lose.

They know she may be bound to get in but still want it said

That they fought tooth and nail to kill her approval chance dead

Because liberals threaten small children which brings to mind

Another great example of projection one can find

Given school lunch loss, Gaetz’s underage taste, Boebert’s spouse

Unlike treason they’ve not yet learned to not on habits pounce.

But none can say the learning curve Republicans display

Is something they allow to get in hypocrisy’s way

Which brings us back to Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination

Which fills those who believe in equality with elation

Republicans have lost this round but it won’t change a thing

And there’s plenty of Uncle Tom toads waiting in the wing.
