“Hit them in the pocketbook” has always been the way
To hurt those who use bullying as ways to get their way
Especially when it comes to rouge nations acting bad
Because if their economies through sanctioned start to sag
And their money collapses so bank cash can’t be withdrawn
Runs on those banks help end the bullying before too long.

That has become the situation in Russia today

Where bully Vladdie Putin’s war has put bank runs in play

And sent their ruble to its lowest level of worth ever

And cratered their stock market thanks to his Ukraine endeavor

How long his nation puts up with his war we’ll have to see

Now that its pocket book’s been hit as hard as it can be.

But unlike Trump’s Vlad’s pocketbook is fabulously full

So he does not have claim constant “I am so rich!” bull

He is the richest man on earth, at least that’s what they say

So even if he blows Russia’s economy away

Thanks to his war and sanctions that have been imposed on it

Like Trump for citizens he hurts he will not give a shit.

That’s probably what Louie thought in Versailles long ago

So confident that God had placed him above those below

And that as Sun King he would rule forever come what may

Which was disproven when his head from his neck rolled away

So maybe some kind of comeuppance in Russia is brewing

For Putin who was sure he’d stay loved by millions war’s screwing.

Our own tyrant’s comeuppance just never seems to arrive

Which like Louie has him convinced he will forever thrive

But how much longer will his conned cult love and money send

When constant grifts of small donations make life savings end?

For now he alone by them is as President still seen

Will future cons if he comes back construct his guillotine?
