Beyond All Doubt

It seems like every day another brand new poll comes out
That claims its findings prove who’ll win without a bit of doubt
Biden will beat both Trump and DeSantis easily
Or Trump is headed for another landslide victory
Or a generic GOP person will take it all
Each latest poll reveals which way the chips are bound to fall.

Based on their latest poll results the pundits on one side

Shout loudly that their guy will win and take the win in stride

But when another poll comes out the other side will shout

About proof positive their guy will win beyond all doubt

And so like tennis balls back and forth poll results go ‘round

To reveal the sure winners beyond all doubt they have found.

The truth is that each winner depends on who bought each poll

The side paying for it always achieves its hoped-for goal

And neither side is lying about poll results they’ve found

Each simply pays to carefully select those polled they’ve found

Thus polls paid for by each side to tear the other asunder

Prove beyond all doubt which side puts the other six feet under.
