Surprise! It turns out Pence was not a hero after all
On the day insurrection tried to make our nation fall
He was so desperate to find ways to help Trump not to fail
He even sought the advice of potatoe-man Dan Quayle
Who from the golf course where he’s lived for lo these many years
Since his brief stint as the V.P. reduced Mike Pence to tears.
Pence really wanted to find just one little legal way
On the day insurrection tried to make our nation fall

To ignore Constitutional direction on that day
And so he called Dan Quayle and begged him to reveal to him
How best to throw out legal ballots that made Trump has-been
Imagine his despair when Dan said there’s no legal way
To thumb his nose at the electoral college that day.
All who hated Pence for the ass-kissing toad he was
Had been willing to give him a break for that day because
It was believed he stood alone defying Donald Trump
And so a hero briefly replaced the dumb stupid chump
But revelations have now made his hero myth implode
Leopards cannot change spots, nor can an ass-kissing toad.
