Slippy Slope

The “Shining City on the Hill” slips lower EVERY day
With EVERY “lie” I claim as “truth” and EACH law-suit I play
“Imperial Presidency” lies just around the bend
When it arrives “Democracy” WILL NOT be seen again
“Separation of Powers” WILL be a past-tense phrase
When ONLY I ALONE on ALL POWER do fully graze.

With Butt-Kiss Barr and TurtleMan running defense for ME
And DEMONcrats wringing their hands impotent as can be
The stage I’ve set for MY ascendent RULE by DIVINE RIGHT
Is slipping MY Amerika down into DARKEST NIGHT
From the Steep Slope it’s slipping down there’ll be NO coming back
There’s NO “Return to Normalcy” along MY slippy track.

ONLY I ALONE can slow MY Slippy Slope’s descent
And I intend to increase our Great speed straight DOWN, you BET!!!
Thanks to MY Toadies in “Congress” we slip faster EACH DAY
It’s MUCH TOO LATE to reverse course and slip back UP, OK???
I DON’T “know” what awaits down at the bottom MY Slope
But once ALL POWER I COMMAND with ANYTHING I’ll cope.
