Not All There

Who cares about some “debt crisis” that is gathering steam?
I will be long gone by the time it comes along downstream
It will NOT happen on MY “watch” so it’s on MY back shelf
The ONLY thing that I am ‘watching” out for is MYSELF
The bottom line is when it finally comes I DO NOT CARE
Because just like now when it comes I will not be all there.

And who cares about the “environment” going away?
I will be long gone before there is no more winter day
It will NOT happen during MY time here as “President”
Let future generations sweat it out paying THEN’s rent
The bottom line again is it’s of NO concern to ME
I will NOT be all there when waves drown coasts under the sea.

MY time while still in office I am making VERY bright
Through kick-backs and emoluments that will NOT come to light
Until long after I’ve left office for Mar-a-Lago
To bask in wealth uncountable while others lead the show
I DO NOT CARE if things I don’t do NOW make them THEN squeal
I won’t be there THEN so why NOW help some future “Prez” deal?
