Dignity and Lack Thereof

Well, maybe for a couple days I’ll “act” with “dignity”
But that won’t last for very long because it’s SO NOT ME
I could NOT even pretend for long to be “dignified”
A leopard cannot change his spots just because someone died
I do NOT care if the person who died was “President”
The ONLY “Prez” who counts is ME, the rest weren’t Heaven-sent.

They tell ME this dead Bush was a “Republican”! NO WAY!!!
He was a wuss who “compromised” and gave good stuff away
I’m told he worked with DEMONcrats so I’m GLAD that he’s dead
I’d NEVER let a DEMONcrat from ME get any cred
There is just so much “bandwidth” that on ME can focus NEWS
Between dead guys and ME can you guess who I’LL ALWAYS choose?

They’re flying George up to DC to “Lie in State” awhile
I’m told I MUST put up with him but it WON’T make ME smile
Because for maybe THREE WHOLE DAYS NEWS WON’T FOCUS ON ME!!!!!!
Cameras will focus on George Bush for the whole world to see
I’ll have to act outrageous to regain MY lost limelight
I don’t know what I’ll do yet but to beat HIS death I’ll FIGHT!

I CANNOT live without NEWS focused on ME EVERY day
Each hour, minute, and second before they pass away
Come On!! George Bush HAS passed away and therefore HE IS GONE!!!
They should NOT allow HIS death to remove MY NEWS so long
Right after he leaves Washington THIS time, maybe BEFORE,
Something I’ll do to MY lack of ALL “dignity” restore.

Once Bush is flown out of MY town MY NEWS I WILL force back
To focus on ME once again and get back on MY track
MY limeight beam is much too narrow to share with dead guys
The fact that they were “President” means NOTHING in MY eyes
So lay George out up on MY hill and then cart him away
His “dignity’s” NO reason to NEWS of MY LACK delay!
