Running Hot

No “anger” is “spilling over” at MY White House, OK?
Just like a well-oiled machine MY Team performs each day
They ALL support each other and I hold ALL of them dear
That’s the way MY machine has run since the day I got here
But to keep MY Team Machine running as smooth as it can
I periodically apply MY scheduled maintenance plan.

That’s why there are now a few rumors some of you have heard
That I’m NOT “happy” with MY machine! FAKE NEWS!!! That’s absurd!!!
It’s just that time for its preventive maintenance has come
That’s when I turn its screws real hard and scrape out ALL its scum
And MY maintenance schedule tells ME it is way past time
To overhaul the whole damn thing and bring new parts on line.

So starting at its top and working right down through its butt
To get things running smooth again MY Team Machine I’ll gut
I’ll throw out EVERY part that for ME is NOT working well
And screw down any parts remaining to malfunctions quell
With swift kicks and hard elbow grease MY overhauled machine
Once I’ve replaced ALL parts I HATE will run red hot and mean.
