Foam Padding

I promised that jobs would “come back” if they elected ME
And championed Capitalism, unfortunately
Because it now appears there is a “conflict” that’s a bitch
Between bringing cheap jobs back home and PROFITS for the Rich.

I fear patience grows thin among the poor and unemployed
Despite paying for COSTCO Memberships they are annoyed

When you let Capitalists do what they do to save a buck

They “outsource” cheap jobs overseas, which says those jobs here suck.

Those “Trickle Down” promises made when big Tax Breaks sailed through
Have a limited shelf life before resentments accrue
Jobs heading overseas instead of returning back home
Don’t play well in Peoria despite dupes there I own.

Part of ME knows I MUST keep MY conned Base believing ME
To make sure I don’t go down as Worst “Prez” in history
But by MY nature MONEY is the ONLY God I trust
If jobs aren’t “outsourced” overseas then PROFITS will go bust!

I am caught between a job rock and a hard MONEY place
I want Capitalists like ME to keep WINNING each race
But need MY fine White Base to keep believing that I care
About getting their dead end jobs back to increase their share.

The ME part of ME that loves MONEY is in deep conflict
With the ME part of ME that NEEDS MY job con game to stick
MY Rich Friends with their tax break know that I think they come first
But as MY Base’s patience grows thin I’m fearing the worst.

I guess the bottom line as always is to protect ME
Despite PROFITS which may decline a buck or two or three
MY Rich Friends won’t be happy when I say JOBS MUST COME HOME!!
But that’s better than losing VOTES that pad MY ass in foam.
