Cargo Cult

The “Cult of Trump” is going strong, there’s no stopping ME now
Into all those opposed to ME I’ve proven I can plow
MY fine White Base would rather put another pimp in power
Than nominate one candidate who won’t before ME cower.

I’ve always know if you just double down on what you do
And never once apologize cultists will flock to you
And now “Republicans” who will not join the TRUMP parade
Are being forced to drink down gallons of MY brand’s Kool Aid.

MY fine cult is a CARGO cult run by kleptocracy
An old White guys band of rich pirates gathered around ME
The pillage pass I granted to them when I first got in
Is now running amok among those with no sense of “sin”.

Condoned by “evangelicals” who say God loves the buck
And aided and abetted by poor jerks down on their luck
I dazzle MY cult followers with promises of loot
Rewarding rich while conning poor, “democracy” is moot.

MY cultists staunchly defend ME believing all I say
They don’t question the things I do, they look the other way
As long as I keep promising them their lives will improve
ME and MY band of pirates can maintain our pillage groove.

Eventually we’ll have to wrap up all our booty tight
And slip out of the harbor to sail off into the night
Leaving behind MY fervid cultists waiting patiently
And also leaving nothing for those who put faith in ME.
