There are too many awful things today to pick one theme
To focus on specifically so let’s just go with MEAN
Which underlies the attitude of everything we’ll see
Today and for four years ahead, and let’s add TYRANNY
And finally GREED as the third element in the sick mix
That half the country’s been conned to believe will their lives fix.

RACISM too comes to mind but MEAN controlled by lies
During the reign of TYRANNY will easily comprise
The permission racists need to potently distill
And openly express race hate with an empowered will
Their need to others blame for the impoverished lives they lead
Will through disinformation steer their blame away from GREED.
These poems have always satirized foibles resulting from
Inept stupidity provided by corrupt pond scum
But nothing happening right now earns a satiric laugh
So sadness in them must prevail until some clown car gaff
As funny as gazpacho police lets new smiles break
Through depression and they again satire’s paths take.
